Valentine's Day Special 2009

Remember about Valentine's Day??

We Leo Club were selling real and fresh r0ses and love cards!!

Everything was totally last minute because the leos had their own stuffs to do.. so it was like "OMG OMG OMG!! sooo many love cards to go!!" and "OMG OMG!! why the roses got torns wan?? how to cut ar??" the day after " OMG!! WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR ROSES??!!"

it went a little unexpected.. BUT we had lots of fun!!..
as you know, roses cannot survive long enough till the day we contributed to those puppy lovers.. so it went kinda "dead" when we contributed it.. aiks!

Love cards!! we were telling each other that we won't be disigning cards anymore for the past 6 months.. which I think it's really true.. it was all hand made by us! the leos.. and I find the designs interesting.. 100% to us!! wee~

pretty roses that we couldn't assist not to hold them for the whole afternoon and also smell them..!! =D pretty eh?

ONE for you and ONE for me.. the rest are the puppy lovers outside.. awww....

Nah, the proffs!! =D we enjoyed alot.. and next year.. hopefully the juniors will think of something better than making cards.. you "WILL" love it...

Leo Garden finally survived!!

It was on the 14th of February 2009 (Valentine's day), we had to spend our morning with the fresh green flora! Finally, we had the opportunity to safe our long long long died Leo garden!! It was on the Gotong-Royong day that our school planned to have. I was amazed that many new leo members came and help out. Recalling the previous year, it was like only 9 of us totalled up with the seniors.

Lions Club of KL West came too! Let me recall who came; Lion Bobby, Lion Edmund and Lion Dr.Raymond. Sorry if I missed out some of the names. =) The Lions wanted to snap photos with us so we did! (the first picture)

After preparing all the equipments we needed, the word "work" began!! so yes, 100 hibiscus were placed all over the garden including some other clubs' garden before planting into the soil..
Everyone started pulling the parasite grass that sticks out. LOL

Pictures speak!! =D

oh oh!! everyone got soooooooo excited when they found a worm... which was like 6cm long.. and the girls started shouting and running.. =D that's the spirit of becoming a leo.. we ROAR and scream!

Look look!! Leos are mean too.. the worm got into two after they were tired of it... poor little tiny worm.. =(

candid picture of the Lions.. =D Lion Bobby and Lion Edmund..

After planting the hibiscus.. it was time to refresh the paints by painting all over it again.. look at the professional painters we have in our club..!!

the hard work ended!!! *applause*

Credits goes to Leo Kok Onn for the pictures (right) and the left is our Leo Jun Wu (vice president II)

**Thank you Lions Club of KL West for sponsoring the 100 hibiscus and soils for our school.. you guys rock the world!!**

Lions Emblem

The International Association of Lions Clubs, which is also known as the Lions Clubs International, is an incorporated, non-profit organization.

The emblem of the Association consists of a large gold letter, “L” on a purple field. The letter “L” stands for Law, Liberty, Labour, Loyalty, Love, Life and Lions. Bordering this is a circular gold area with conventionalized Lion facing away from the centre. The word “Lions” appears at the top and “international” at the bottom. Symbolically, the Lions face both past and future, proud of the past and confident to the future.

The royal colours of purple and gold were selected as the official colours when the Association was organized in 1917. To Lions, purple stand for loyalty to friends and to one’s self, and for integrity of mind and heart. It is the traditional colours of strength, courage and tireless dedication to a cause. Gold symbolizes sincerity of purpose liberality in judgment, purity in life and generosity in mind, heart and purse to those in need.

The slogan “Lions” carries the meaning “Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation’s Safety”.

The motto is “WE SERVE”.

Welcome to Leo Club!!
